Apple TV+ on Google TV: Is Anyone Even Interested?

Apple TV+ has made its way to Google TV, but is anyone even interested? Some might say that Apple TV+ is not the best streaming service out there. Personally, I received a free subscription when I bought an iPad, but I have barely used it. Apple kept extending my free trial, which makes me question how many people are actually paying for it. When I did try to watch something on Apple TV+, I found myself gravitating towards Netflix instead. Despite owning two Apple TV devices, I just couldn’t get into Apple TV+. Now, Apple TV+ is expanding to Google TV devices, but does anyone with a Google TV device care about it?

According to Jonathan Zepp, Director of Media and Entertainment at Android and Google Play, Google TV users can now access award-winning original shows, movies, and documentaries from Apple TV+. This includes popular series like “Ted Lasso,” “For All Mankind,” “The Morning Show,” and “Servant,” as well as movies like “Greyhound” and “Palmer.” Additionally, the Apple TV app allows users to access their library of purchases from Apple, personalized recommendations, curated channels, and Family Sharing for up to six family members.

It’s interesting to note that Apple TV+ is only launching on the Chromecast with Google TV for now, with promises to expand to more Google TV devices in the future.
