Apple TV Wins 3 Golden Globes, 3 Shows Strike Out

Apple TV had a big night at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, taking home three awards for its hit shows The Studio and Pluribus. These wins mark another milestone for Apple’s streaming service as it continues to build its reputation for quality original programming.

The Studio, a Hollywood-spoof comedy starring Seth Rogen, won Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, with Rogen also snagging the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. In his acceptance speech, Rogen joked about the show’s meta episode that centered on an awards ceremony.

On the drama side, Pluribus, a genre-bending series created by Vince Gilligan, earned recognition with star Rhea Seehorn winning Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama. This win was particularly meaningful after Seehorn’s acclaimed performances on Better Call Saul went unrecognized for years.

Production on season two of The Studio is set to begin soon and is expected to feature even more celebrity cameos than the star-studded first season. Streaming on Apple TV, both The Studio and Pluribus are available by subscription, or through the Apple One subscription bundle.

Apple TV boasts a history of success as the first all-original streaming service to launch globally. It has premiered numerous original hits and received various award recognitions. With a growing catalog of quality entertainment, Apple TV is solidifying its place in the competitive realm of streaming services.
