Noah Wyle Discusses Season 2 of ‘The Pitt’ Set on Fourth of July with Long-Term Show Plans

Noah Wyle, known as “the daddy of ‘The Pitt,'” is back for season two of the hit HBO Max series. The Emmy-winning show follows a day at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center in real-time, with each episode showing an hour of action in the emergency room. This season, set on the Fourth of July, promises a mix of drama and comedy, fueled by alcohol, patriotism, and fireworks.

Wyle shared with The Hollywood Reporter that the decision to set the season on the holiday was intentional. “ERs are notoriously busy on holiday weekends, and the Fourth of July, being the 250th anniversary of America this year, seemed like a really rich tapestry to play with.”

In addition to his on-screen role, Wyle also steps behind the camera to direct an episode this season. The long-term plans for ‘The Pitt’ include more high-speed, action-packed days at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
