Romance and Hockey Collide: Utah’s Culture Clash at Upcoming Game
Lovebound Library, a bookstore in Salt Lake City dedicated solely to romance novels, is teaming up with the ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies for an exciting partnership. On January 31st, the Grizzlies will have a special section just for Lovebound Library fans at their game against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. If you’re a romance book lover, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Discounted tickets for the game are available for $14-$25, and can be purchased through the Lovebound Library Instagram account, @loveboundlibrary. The bookstore’s owner, Courtney Stookey, is hoping to fill section 125 with fellow romance enthusiasts. However, the discount code applies to seats all around the Maverik Center, so there are plenty of options for seating.
The subgenre of hockey romance has been gaining popularity recently, with the HBO Max adaptation of “Heated Rivalry” by Rachel Reid creating a buzz towards the end of 2025. Since Lovebound Library announced the partnership with the Grizzlies on Instagram last Friday, they have already sold over 300 tickets. Stookey is thrilled by the response and is looking forward to creating more partnerships in the future, potentially with the Utah Mammoth.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to bring together the worlds of romance and hockey in Utah! This will be the last season to catch the Grizzlies in action before they make their move to Trenton, New Jersey, so be sure to grab your tickets for this special event on April 11th, the team’s final home game.
