Peacock Adds Rinkside Live for 2026 Olympics
Peacock is stepping up its game just in time for the action-packed Legendary February, which will feature the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, Super Bowl LX, and 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend. The streaming service has just announced two new camera feeds called Rinkside Live and Courtside Live. These features are designed especially for mobile devices and will give fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at some of the biggest sporting events of the season.
Rinkside Live and Courtside Live will allow Peacock users to choose from various curated camera feeds. For the upcoming 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games, Rinkside Live will offer exclusive coverage of ice hockey and figure skating. Fans of figure skating will even get access to a Coaching Cam, which will focus on each skater’s coaching area, as well as a fitness camera capturing the training room where elite athletes prepare for their Olympic moments. Hockey enthusiasts, on the other hand, can enjoy the Bench Cam for select games, showcasing each team’s bench throughout the game to capture player reactions and heated rivalries.
But that’s not all! Rinkside Live will also feature a Highlights Hub for both hockey and figure skating, offering fans vertical video compilations of Winter Olympics highlights. These curated camera angles will be available not only on Peacock’s mobile app but also on TV and the web through Peacock’s multiview experience.
In addition to these exciting updates, Peacock is bringing back some beloved features from the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fans can once again enjoy multiview, the Gold Zone that highlights when an athlete is about to win a gold medal, Live Actions for interactive viewing, and Peacock’s in-page sports hubs, interactive schedule, and medal standings. Plus, live in Browse will stream events live while users browse the app, and there will be a real-time Winter Olympics highlights compilation for mobile users.
And let’s not forget about the fun and engaging minigames coming to the Peacock mobile app, including prediction games for figure skating and ice hockey, an Olympics Picksgame spanning multiple events daily, and Olympics trivia. These games will be available from January 24 to February 23.
It’s worth mentioning that Rinkside Live is similar to Courtside Live, a feature Peacock introduced last year for its NBA games. Courtside Live will make its debut during the 2026 NBA US vs. World All-Star Game on February 15. It will allow fans to navigate between various views like Star Spotlight, Home Team, Away Team, and Hot Highlights, featuring big moments from the game including plays, interviews, and celebrity fans.
So get ready for an action-packed month! With Rinkside Live, Courtside Live, and a variety of other exciting features, Peacock is bringing fans closer to the sports they love like never before. Whether it’s the Winter Olympics, NBA All-Star Weekend, or Super Bowl LX, Peacock has you covered with an immersive and interactive viewing experience.
