Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 to Return to Pittsburgh

“Mayor of Kingstown” is back for a fifth and final season, and this time they’re returning to Pittsburgh. Paramount+ recently announced that the show, which stars Jeremy Renner and Edie Falco, will be renewed for an eight-episode final season. The series follows the McLusky family in the fictional town of Kingstown, Michigan, and covers gritty themes like systemic racism and corruption.

Season 4 recently wrapped up with an impressive 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The storyline saw Renner’s character Mike McLusky dealing with a gang war and facing off against a new warden played by Falco. While Paramount+ hasn’t given any details about the plot or release date of the fifth season, the Pittsburgh Film Office confirmed that production will be returning to the region soon.

“Season 5 is expected to continue local economic prosperity!” the film office announced on Facebook. “Mayor of Kingstown” has a history of filming in western Pennsylvania, using locations like Millvale and McKeesport. When filming kicks off, the Pittsburgh Film Office typically puts out a call for extras, giving locals a chance to be a part of the action. The show has been a boon for the Pittsburgh area, bringing in over $95 million during the filming of the fourth season.
