January Sci-Fi TV Premieres: Starfleet Academy, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Primal

January brings a slow month for sci-fi and fantasy TV premieres, with only five shows on the schedule so far. But there are some exciting ones to look out for, like “Primal” Season 3 on Adult Swim, where Spear finds himself in a brutal world with no memory or humanity. The premiere is set for January 11th.

For Star Trek fans, there’s “Starfleet Academy,” a new series on Paramount+ debuting on January 15th. The show follows a group of young cadets as they train to become Starfleet officers. And Game of Thrones fans can look forward to “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” on HBO Max starting January 18th. This prequel is set a century before the events of the original series and follows two heroes exploring Westeros.

Disney+ is also launching a new series called “Wonder Man” on January 27th, which delves into the lives of Hollywood actors chasing career-defining roles. And on January 28th, Paramount+ will premiere Season 3 of “School Spirits,” a supernatural drama series that promises dark mysteries and dangerous secrets.

If you’re looking ahead, Hulu’s “Paradise” Season 2 and Apple TV’s “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” Season 2 are set to premiere in February.
