Disappointing NFL Christmas Day Lineup on Netflix, Amazon

ent to give the upcoming games the royal treatment. Even though the Christmas Day lineup isn’t looking as exciting as we thought it would a few months ago, both Netflix and Amazon are going all in with their production and talent lineups.

Netflix had initially planned a blockbuster doubleheader, featuring the Cowboys against Washington, and the Lions squaring off against the Vikings. However, with the Commanders and Vikings out of playoff contention and struggling with injuries, the matchups don’t hold the same thrill they once did.

Amazon’s newly created Christmas night showcase will feature the Broncos against the Chiefs. Despite the Chiefs losing in the playoffs and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes being sidelined due to an injury, Amazon is gearing up for an entertaining show.

Both streaming services have put together impressive teams of talent for the broadcasts. Netflix recently announced that the father-son duo of Ian and Noah Eagle will be the play-by-play announcers for their games. They will be joined by an impressive roster of game and rules analysts, sideline reporters, and special guests, including Scott Hanson, Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan, and Drew Brees.

Amazon, on the other hand, will utilize its full Thursday Night Football crew for the Broncos-Chiefs game, showcasing a team that recently set a regular-season viewership record on Prime Video.

While the Christmas Day NFL games might not have the same draw as expected, fans can still expect top-notch coverage and entertainment from both Netflix and Amazon. Regardless of the team matchups, these streaming giants are pulling out all the stops to ensure viewers have a memorable experience.
