Amazon Removes Botched ‘Fallout’ AI Video Recaps from Prime Video

In November, Amazon unveiled a new AI video recap feature for TV shows. The idea was to help viewers catch up on previous seasons before diving into a new one—a helpful tool for those of us with memory issues after years-long waits for new seasons. However, viewers quickly noticed some glaring mistakes in a recap video for Season 1 of the Fallout TV series, which is gearing up for Season 2.

GamesRadar highlighted a couple of the biggest blunders in the AI video recap. First off, the recap wrongly places the show’s flashbacks about 120 years earlier than they actually occur in the show’s timeline. Not a minor detail, right? On top of that, the recap completely misses the mark on a critical Season 1 plot twist, completely messing up the main character’s key motivation.

It’s a bit of a “You had one job!” moment from Amazon’s AI technology.
