Prince Louis’ Mature Handwriting Shines in Christmas Carol Service Photo

The Prince and Princess of Wales recently enjoyed a heartwarming family outing with their three children at Kate’s annual Christmas carol service. Louis, their youngest son at seven years old, joined his parents and siblings at the ‘Together at Christmas’ concert at Westminster Abbey on 5 December. The family began the event by visiting the outdoor ‘connection tree’, decorated with a red paper chain instead of traditional tinsel and baubles. Each paper on the tree had a handwritten note, one of which was from young Louis, showcasing his rarely-seen handwriting by penning his name on a chain.

In 2024, Louis and his siblings wrote special notes on the outdoor tree, with Louis expressing gratitude for his grandparents, although it was unclear which set he was referring to between Kate’s parents and William’s side of the family.

The Wales children stole the show at the carol service, with Louis and George dressed in suits while Charlotte wore a beautiful deep blue velvet dress reminiscent of her late grandmother Diana, Princess of Wales.

Kate’s 2025 carol concert focused on themes of ‘love’ and ‘connection’, with the ‘Together at Christmas’ concert initiated by the Princess of Wales back in 2021. This year marked the fifth anniversary of the event, and Kate shared a heartfelt message about love, emphasizing how small acts of care and connection contribute to the beautiful tapestry of life that we all belong to. She likened the interconnectedness of humanity to roots of trees sharing strength beneath the soil, a theme of belonging that resonates deeply during the Christmas season.
