WWE Content Leaving Peacock by End of Year: Update

If you’re a fan of WWE content on Peacock, you might want to pay attention to this: specific WWE library content, including WCW and ECW-branded material, will be leaving the platform by the end of this month. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the future of this content in the United States is uncertain, but ESPN has shown interest in acquiring some of it. This could mean that we may see WWE content on ESPN’s streaming service in the future.

While Netflix currently holds the international rights to the library, there’s still a lot of content that hasn’t been made available on the platform. In the U.S., the new ESPN App has already started featuring WWE premium live events (PLE) as part of their partnership with WWE. This partnership began in September with WrestlePalooza in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In addition, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be airing on Peacock on Saturday, December 13. This event is notable for being John Cena’s final match and will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
