Prince Harry Crashes Meghan Markle’s Netflix Holiday Special, Creating Surprise Moment
When Prince Harry made a surprise appearance on Meghan Markle’s Netflix holiday special, he couldn’t have timed it better. In “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration,” the Duke of Sussex dropped in just as Meghan was cooking her mother’s famous Christmas Eve gumbo with Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio.
As Meghan stirred the pot, Harry walked into the kitchen with a casual, “Hi, guys!” and leaned in to kiss his wife. Meghan introduced him to Colicchio, explaining she was making her mom’s gumbo, which Harry could tell just by the smell.
Meanwhile, Colicchio was preparing a salad with all of Harry’s least favorite ingredients, teasing the prince with “Oh wow, that’s like the anti-salad.” Meghan had earlier shared with him that her husband dislikes beets, black olives, fennel, anchovies, and pickled vegetables.
Harry joked that Meghan must have known he was coming since gumbo is one of his favorites, especially her mom’s version. He revealed that Doria always saves a little portion for him before adding the fish.
When Harry tasted Meghan’s spicier version, he exclaimed, “I can feel it puncturing through the top of my head!” and admitted that it might not be as good as Doria’s but was close. Meghan burst into laughter, saying, “Well, my mom will love you for that. What a good thing to say for your mother-in-law.”
The holiday special also featured guests like tennis champion Naomi Osaka, hospitality expert Will Guidara, and friends Kelly McKee Zajfen and Lindsay Jill Roth for holiday crafts and cooking. This marks Harry’s return to the show after appearing in the Season 1 finale and skipping Season 2.
“With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration” is now streaming on Netflix, continuing Meghan’s expanding lifestyle franchise. The special showcases Meghan’s passion for cooking, creating, gardening, and entertaining, providing a festive and heartwarming glimpse into the couple’s holiday traditions.
