AJA Video Systems Partners with RAVENNA Community
AJA Video Systems has joined the RAVENNA community, a network of partners focused on advancing the RAVENNA standard for distributing real-time audio over Internet protocol (AoIP). This collaboration means that AJA’s DANTE-12GAM and OG-DANTE-12GAM audio embedder/disembedder products now support RAVENNA, making it easier to bridge between SDI and AoIP infrastructures. These AJA solutions offer dual 12G-SDI input and outputs, allowing for up to 32 channels of audio embedding and 32 channels of disembedding simultaneously, with a total I/O capacity of 64 channels.
AJA President Nick Rashby emphasizes the importance of interoperability for customers amid the fast-paced transition to IP technology. By joining the RAVENNA community, AJA is demonstrating its commitment to supporting customers at different stages of their IP journey and expanding product compatibility within the larger AoIP ecosystem. Rashby notes, “RAVENNA is a powerful AoIP option, and now our customers can take advantage of it.”
Andreas Hildebrand, RAVENNA Evangelist at Lawo, welcomes AJA to the community, recognizing the company’s significance in the world of broadcast production. He highlights RAVENNA as a leading audio-over-IP networking protocol that is fully compatible with AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110, offering seamless interoperability with a range of AoIP protocols. This support in select AJA products will benefit professionals seeking to maximize the potential of AoIP technology.
In conclusion, AJA’s partnership with the RAVENNA community underscores the company’s dedication to enhancing audio distribution capabilities for customers in the evolving landscape of IP technology.
