The giant slalom, the first of the two women’s races, is set to take place on Saturday, November 29th, at Copper Mountain. Shiffrin, who holds the record for the most World Cup wins, is pumped to hit the slopes she knows so well. Many top U.S. skiers, including Shiffrin, often use Copper Mountain for training in the spring.

When is the giant slalom at the Copper Mountain World Cup?
Due to overnight snowfall, the giant slalom race at the World Cup at Copper Mountain has been delayed by 30 minutes. The first run is now scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 29th, with the second run following at 1:30 p.m.
When does Mikaela Shiffrin race?
Mikaela Shiffrin will be the 17th to take on the giant slalom course in the first run. Her starting position in the second run will depend on her performance in the first run.
What about the other American skiers?
Paula Moltzan, the silver medalist in the first giant slalom race of the season, will start third, following Sweden’s Sara Hector and Albania’s Lara Colturi. Nina O’Brien will kick things off from the ninth spot, while Elisabeth Bocock will start 24th. Additionally, Tricia Mangan (49th), Keely Cashman (50th), and Kjersti Moritz (52nd) will be representing the U.S. team. Keep an eye out for Moritz, who is making her World Cup debut at just 21 years old.

In the first run, the top skiers go first, and the top 30 finishers from the first run will qualify for the second run. The starting order for the second run is determined by reversing the finish order from the first run, allowing the top skiers to go last.
