Xfinity TV now offering NBCSN
Comcast’s Xfinity TV service now offers the new national sports channel, NBCSN, providing live coverage of athletic events from NBC Sports and Peacock. This channel features spillover games from various sports leagues like the NBA, WNBA, NASCAR, MLB, English Premier League, and more.
NBCSN is back as a cable channel after shutting down in 2021 to incorporate more sports content on Peacock. The goal now is to give cable, satellite, and streaming pay TV customers an easy way to watch Peacock events on linear TV without needing to switch apps or pay for a separate service. By offering a dedicated linear channel on pay TV, NBC Sports hopes to reach more viewers, which is supported by past ratings data.
On YouTube TV, NBCSN is part of the base programming package starting at $83 per month. Meanwhile, on Comcast’s Xfinity, you can catch NBCSN in the lower-priced “Sports & News” package for $70 per month or in the Popular TV package, the cost of which varies based on location and additional taxes and fees.
In the upcoming year, NBCSN will also broadcast a simulcast of Peacock’s “Gold Zone” whip-around channel during the Olympics, along with select live Olympic competitions. Exciting news for sports fans who want a convenient way to catch all the action on one channel!
