Alan Carr Names Co-Star ‘Great’ for Celebrity Traitors Season Two
Alan Carr, the comedian who recently won the reality show Celebrity Traitors, has hinted that his co-star on the BBC renovation show, Amanda Holden, would make a fantastic contestant on the reality gameshow. Carr, 49, shared that he has been encouraging Holden, 54, to join the second series of the BBC programme. During an interview on BBC Radio 2, Carr jokingly mentioned, “I teased her, I said, ‘oh, please, please go into the Traitors castle, because I just want a break, you know, three weeks away from her.” He added, “But you know what, sheâll probably turn the turret, sheâll put some wallpaper up, disco ball, sheâll be good to go. I think Amanda would be great in the Traitors, I donât know whoâs going in.”
A listener also asked Carr if he would have “murdered” Holden like he did his friend Paloma Faith on the show. Carr humorously replied, “Yeah, I would have, I would have murdered her before I was even a traitor.” Reflecting on the elimination of Faith, Carr mentioned, “Can I just say as well, the way they edited it, when they cut out the charity chat, you do look a bit like a sociopath. I was doing it for my charity, which I love⦠Iâm actually a nice person.”
Following his victory on the show, Carr reassured fans that his friendship with Faith remains strong despite any initial fallout rumors. By outsmarting fellow contestants Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga in the final moments of the program, Carr secured an impressive £87,500 prize pot for Neuroblastoma UK. The charity focuses on funding research and raising awareness for the rare cancer, which primarily affects children under the age of five.
In a touching message shared on social media, Neuroblastoma UK expressed their gratitude to Carr, saying, “Alan, what a moment. We canât tell you how grateful we are.” The charity praised Carr’s dedication, compassion, and drive, promising to make him proud.
It’s clear that Carr’s victory on Celebrity Traitors was not only a win for him but also a significant contribution to a worthy cause. His humorous and heartfelt moments on the show have left a lasting impact on viewers and supporters alike.
