Emmys move networks to NBC and Peacock for 2026 ceremony
The popular Emmys awards show is making a big move in 2026! The Television Academy and NBCUniversal just announced that the 78th Emmy Awards will be airing live on NBC and streaming on Peacock on Monday, September 14th at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The show will be broadcast from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live, so mark your calendars!
In the past, the Emmys had been shown on CBS, also known as Paramount, but now they’re heading to a new home. This change means that Emmy Award nominations will be announced soon, so keep an eye out for that exciting news.
CBS had previously aired both the Primetime and Daytime Emmy Awards on and off over the years, but their deal expired for the 2026 show. That’s why the broadcast is moving to NBC and Peacock for this year’s ceremony.
Don’t forget about the Creative Arts Emmy Awards! These ceremonies, which are produced by the Television Academy, will take place on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th. It’s going to be an exciting time for television fans, so stay tuned for more updates on the Emmys.
