Emmy Nominees for Children’s and Family Programs: Ms. Rachel, June Squibb, and More
Popular children’s TV host Ms. Rachel and the 96-year-old actress June Squibb each grabbed a pair of Emmy nominations in the upcoming Children’s & Family Emmy Awards. The awards will be held in New York for the first time at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall on March 1 and March 2, 2026.
Ms. Rachel scooped up nominations for outstanding preschool, children’s, or family viewing series and outstanding writing for a preschool or children’s series through her “Ms. Rachel – Toddler Learning Videos” YouTube channel. Squibb secured her nomination for outstanding children’s personality on the “Storyline Online” YouTube channel. The competition includes Yvette Nicole Brown for “Cookie Monster’s Bake Sale: Block Party.”
In another category, the viral sensation of star Andrew Garfield discussing grief with Elmo on the “Sesame Street” YouTube channel earned a nomination for an outstanding short-form live-action program.
Additionally, in a friendly face-off, “Friends” stars Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer received nominations for outstanding lead performer in a preschool, children’s, or young teen category. Lisa Kudrow is nominated for “Time Bandits” while David Schwimmer is nominated for “Goosebumps: The Vanishing.”
