In the 2022 version, Yang Liping serves as chief choreographer, artistic director, and appears in the Winter segment of the performance. She collaborated with Oscar-winning art director Tim Yip, along with a powerful creative team. The entire production represents the pinnacle of Yang Liping’s artistry – a profound reflection on life by the “goddess of dance.”
After captivating audiences around the world, the 2022 version of “The Peacock” will make its long-awaited debut in Vietnam with four exclusive performances over three days – March 6, 7, and 8, 2026 – at Ho Guom Theater in Hanoi.
Held in one of the capital’s most elegant and modern venues, the production will feature hundreds of top Chinese dancers, hundreds of handmade traditional costumes, and world-class stage, sound, and lighting design.
The show consists of four chapters – Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter – portraying a narrative of personal growth, human nature, life, and love, expressing the harmony between humanity and the natural world.
Through its poetic theatrical form, the production invites audiences on a journey of spiritual and emotional discovery, examining the essence of human nature and existence while offering a deeply humanistic and artistic reflection.
