EAA Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet to Honor Masters of the Air on Apple TV
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is gearing up to celebrate the legacy of the 100th Bomb Group and the Apple TV+ miniseries Masters of the Air at its annual Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet on December 12, 2025. This event, paying homage to the pioneering flights of the Wright brothers back in 1903, will take place in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with tickets up for grabs on the EAA website. Just a heads up, space is limited to 350 lucky guests, so act fast!
This year’s banquet promises to be extra special with two fantastic guest speakers. Rebecca Crosby Hutchinson, daughter of 100th Bomb Group navigator Harry Crosby, a key figure in Masters of the Air, will be there to share her father’s wartime experiences. And if that’s not exciting enough, Michael Faley, the executive vice president of the 100th Bomb Group Foundation and a technical advisor for the miniseries, will dive into the group’s history and how it’s depicted on screen.
The 100th Bomb Group, also known as the “Bloody 100th” due to its heavy losses during World War II, flew B-17 Flying Fortresses and completed a remarkable 300+ combat missions. The first mission, which took place in 1943 over Bremen, Germany, kicked off their brave journey. The gripping stories of these missions are brilliantly portrayed in the series Masters of the Air, which premiered on January 26, 2024, and even nabbed a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award.
Be sure to mark your calendar – doors open at 5:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by an exciting presentation. Tickets are priced at $85 for EAA members and $100 for non-members.
