Ben Stiller shares latest update on ‘Severance’ Season 3

Ben Stiller has some exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting “Severance” Season 3. In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor and filmmaker shared some major updates about the upcoming season of the popular Apple TV+ sci-fi series.

“It’s coming…There will be another season. It will be soon-ish,” revealed the 59-year-old Stiller. This announcement comes months after the season two finale aired on March 21, 2025. Stiller also shed light on the reasons behind the long gaps between seasons, mentioning that the team has produced “19 episodes over five and a half years,” compared to the 600 episodes produced by “Young Sheldon” in the same time frame.

The delays between seasons one and two were attributed to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, according to Stiller. Additionally, Stiller confirmed that he will not be directing season three as he focuses on other projects, including a World War II movie and the latest installment of “Meet the Parents.” Patricia Arquette, who plays Harmony in the series, expressed her discontent with Stiller’s exit from the director’s chair, but hinted at plans to bring him back for Season 3. Meanwhile, a new team of directors is expected to join the production for the upcoming season.
