Apple’s Biggest iPhone Revolution: What to Expect

Apple is gearing up for some major changes to their iPhone lineup, with new designs, features, and release schedules in the works. According to Bloomberg columnist, Mark Gurman, who has insider info on the tech giant, here’s what we can expect next.

Apple has already launched the iPhone Air and the iPhone 17 Pro line, with two more new products in the pipeline. The first foldable iPhone is set to be released in the fall of 2026, followed by a new flagship model with curved glass and a camera under the display in 2027.

In a significant shift, Apple is moving away from their traditional fall presentations, where they would release all models at once. Starting in 2026, they plan to introduce premium models in the fall, including the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and a foldable iPhone. In the spring, they will release more affordable models like the iPhone 18, 18e, and an updated iPhone Air. This change will mean that Apple will be releasing 5-6 iPhone models each year.

The iPhone Air is seen as a stepping stone to the foldable iPhone, with the next Air model getting a major upgrade with a 2nm chip. While the design won’t change much, there may be a dual camera added.

In other news, Apple is discontinuing the Mac Pro and shifting focus to the Mac Studio line. This move comes as Tesla finally adds Apple CarPlay support, after years of resistance from Elon Musk.
