Previously, customers wanting to leverage open monitoring in an Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka cluster had to go through the effort of setting up dedicated infrastructure and deploying agents to scrape the Prometheus metrics. But now, with this latest update, you can configure an Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus collector to scrape metrics from the JMX exporter and Node exporter. This includes a wide range of metrics like host-level, JVM-level, and broker-related metrics, which can be used for various purposes such as monitoring message queue health and balancing partitions.
