TNT to Air Uncut ‘The Pitt’ in December with Nudity and Graphic Medical Imagery

“The Pitt,” the critically acclaimed medical drama that won an Emmy, is coming to TNT in December without any sanitization. Fans can expect to see all the graphic medical imagery and nudity that made the HBO Max streaming version so intense when the show premieres on linear TV on Monday, Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. ET.

TNT made the decision not to edit “The Pitt” for its broadcast, aligning with the show’s commitment to realistically portray life in an emergency department. The network emphasized that the graphic medical scenes, like the birth depicted in Episode 11, are essential to showing the emotional toll of this work on medical professionals.

Unlike network TV, TNT has the freedom to air content without editing due to different content standards for cable TV. Viewers can expect advisories at the beginning of each episode and after commercial breaks, but nothing will be cut from the 15-episode Season 1.
