Draymond Green Takes Blame for Warriors’ Poor Defense in Loss, Admits Failure

After the game, Green didn’t mince words when addressing the team’s defensive struggles. He took full responsibility, saying, “I’ve failed. If our defense looks as s—-y as it does, I’ve failed. You can send as many messages as you want. Until we do it, I’m failing them.”

Nikola Jokić and his teammates had no trouble finding ways to score, with Jokić tallying 26 points on efficient shooting and his backup, Jonas Valančiūnas, adding 16 points in just 16 minutes.

The Nuggets dominated every quarter, shooting over 50% from the field and beyond the arc. The Warriors struggled to contain them, leading to a 25-point loss. Green emphasized the need for individual accountability on defense, calling for players to take on the challenge of guarding their own men before relying on help defense.

Despite the tough loss, Green and his teammates are determined to turn things around. They know they have to bring the energy and effort every game, especially with a grueling schedule ahead.
