Peacemaker Season 2 Finale Debut Boosts Streaming Ratings
Peacemaker, starring John Cena, made its debut on the Nielsen streaming charts with its second season finale. The show landed in 10th place overall for the week of Oct. 6-12, with a total of 398 million minutes viewed. The season finale accounted for about 42 percent of that, with 167 million minutes watched. This marks the first time a DC series on HBO Max has entered the top 10 streaming rankings. It’s exciting to see Peacemaker make its mark on the charts!
Meanwhile, Monster: The Ed Gein Story held onto the top spot for the second week in a row, with a significant increase in viewership. The Netflix anthology series saw a 51 percent jump in viewing minutes, totaling 2.31 billion for the week. Fans of true crime and suspense are definitely tuning in to this chilling series.
Love Is Blind also hit the billion-minute mark, racking up a total of 1.11 billion viewing minutes on Netflix. Plus, two new Netflix series, Is It Cake? Halloween (512 million minutes) and Boots (434 million minutes), made their debut on the chart. On the acquired series top 10 list, Grey’s Anatomy made a strong comeback, capturing 720 million viewers after briefly dropping off the charts for the first time in over two years.
Lastly, KPop Demon Hunters reclaimed the top spot on the movie chart, with an impressive 808 million minutes of watch time.
