Hulu Renews Popular TV Show for Seasons 16 & 17

Hulu has exciting news for fans of King of the Hill – the beloved animated comedy is coming back for two more seasons! The recent success of the show’s return has prompted Hulu to renew it for both a 16th and 17th season, giving viewers even more episodes to enjoy.

The revival of King of the Hill was announced in 2023, with Hulu ordering 20 new episodes. The first 10 episodes were released as Season 14 earlier this year, and Season 15, consisting of the next 10 episodes, is set to air in 2026. The additional two renewed seasons, 16 and 17, will also have 10 episodes each, although specific release dates have not been announced yet.

To celebrate this exciting news, Hulu shared a new trailer teasing the arrival of the two upcoming seasons. King of the Hill originally premiered in 1997 and ran for 13 seasons before ending in 2009. The revival brought back much of the original cast, including series co-creator Mike Judge and other beloved voice actors like Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, and Stephen Root.

The storyline of the new season focuses on Hank and Peggy Hill returning to their hometown in Arlen, Texas, after years in Saudi Arabia. Season 14 saw the characters adjusting to modern life, with Bobby Hill pursuing his dream of becoming a chef and opening a fusion restaurant.

Despite some changes in voice actors due to the passing of cast members, the spirit of King of the Hill lives on in these new seasons. The show’s creators and the cast are dedicated to keeping the heart and humor of the series alive for both longtime fans and new viewers to enjoy.
