Live Streaming: How to Watch the 2025 Michelin Guide Texas Awards on KVUE+
The Michelin Guide is back for another round of honoring the best restaurants in Texas, and this year’s list promises to be truly exciting. The awards ceremony takes place at the Wortham Theater Center in Houston, where top eateries will be announced. Not able to make it in person? No worries – you can catch all the action live on KVUE+ this Tuesday, October 28th, at 7 p.m.
Why do some restaurants get those coveted Michelin stars? It all comes down to quality ingredients, flavorful harmony, culinary mastery, chef personality shining through the cuisine, and consistency both on the menu and over time. Restaurants can earn up to three Michelin stars, each representing a higher level of excellence. A one-star restaurant impresses with top-notch ingredients and consistently exceptional dishes, while a two-star rating showcases the chef’s talent and creativity. Finally, a three-star restaurant signifies food created by chefs who are at the peak of their profession, turning their craft into an art form with dishes destined to become classics.
But who decides which restaurants get these stars? The Michelin Guide employs anonymous full-time “Michelin Inspectors” from the restaurant and hospitality industry. These folks eat at a variety of establishments, from casual to fine dining, to determine star-worthy restaurants. And fun fact – the stars are awarded to the restaurants themselves, not to individual chefs. So, even if a head chef decides to hang up their hat, as long as the quality remains top-notch, the restaurant keeps its star.
