Speaking to InStyle for the publication’s cover story, Olsen emphasized the importance of people coming together in a community to see other humans and be in the same space, rather than just watching content on a screen.

She expressed her belief in the power of communal experiences, mentioning that she enjoys sports for the way they bring people together around something they’re passionate about. Olsen highlighted the shift away from in-person auditions as an example of the increasing distance between people in the entertainment industry.

Olsen’s career began with the independent film Martha Marcy May Marlene in 2011, and she has since been part of major studio productions. Best known for her role as Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her most recent appearance in the franchise was in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She also reprised the role in the popular Disney+ series WandaVision.
