Apple Releases Beta 4 for tvOS 26.1 and watchOS 26.1

Apple has released a fresh batch of developer beta updates, including beta 4 for watchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1. Public beta 4 is also available for select 26.1 updates. These updates have been light on user-facing features so far, with one of the only noticeable changes being a new Apple TV app icon in tvOS to align with the recent Apple TV+ rebranding.

Even though the updates have been relatively quiet on features, there may be more in store that Apple is keeping under wraps. There’s speculation that a new Apple TV 4K could be on the horizon, potentially equipped with a rumored A17 Pro chip, paving the way for the first Apple Intelligence features for tvOS. With recent releases of M5 products, it’s unclear exactly when the new Apple TV hardware might make its debut, but next week or early November seem like plausible windows for launch.
