Apple iOS 26.1 Beta 4 Released for iPhone

iOS 26.1 is here, and it’s the first significant update since the major release of Apple’s operating system. Today, the fourth developer beta version is available for testing, along with the public beta 4 of iOS 26.1.

We can expect Apple to roll out iOS 26.1 to the public either at the end of October or the beginning of November. This update brings a host of changes to iOS 26, with some exciting additions.

One of the highlights of iOS 26.1 is the expanded language support for Apple Intelligence and AirPods Live Translation. Apple Intelligence now supports Chinese (traditional), Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese. On the other hand, AirPods Live Translation adds support for Chinese (Mandarin simplified and traditional), Italian, Japanese, and Korean, in addition to the previously supported languages.

In addition to these language updates, Apple is rebranding its streaming video service, changing its name from Apple TV+ to simply Apple TV. This rebranding comes with a new, vibrant identity, starting with a fresh icon for the Apple TV app.

Other notable changes in iOS 26.1 include a Local Capture section in the Settings app, improvements to the alarm dismissal process with a Slide to Unlock interface, a swipe gesture for changing songs in the Music app, and much more.
