Glen Powell’s Suggestions for Marvel’s Nova
Marvel Studios has been hinting at the arrival of the character Nova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a while now, ever since the Nova Corps were introduced in the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie. Although we haven’t seen Richard Rider/Nova on screen yet, Marvel has been working on a “Nova” series led by showrunner and writer Ed Bernero.
Recently, screenwriter and producer Michael Waldron, known for his work on Marvel’s “Loki” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” suggested that actor Glen Powell would make a good Nova. Powell, known for his roles in “Twisters” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” has been rumored for various superhero roles in the past, including Scott Summers/Cyclops for Marvel and Booster Gold for DC.
Despite Waldron’s recommendation, it’s important to note that Powell’s casting as Nova has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios. However, fans can look forward to seeing Powell on the big screen in the upcoming film “The Running Man” directed by Edgar Wright. So, while the potential for Powell to join the MCU as Nova is exciting, we’ll have to wait for official announcements from Marvel Studios to see if it becomes a reality.
