NYC vs SEA Starting XI: Albert Rusnák returns, Alex Roldan in lineup again

Seattle Sounders are gearing up to face off against New York City FC in a road match today at Citi Field, and Head Coach Brian Schmetzer has just revealed the starting lineup. The Delta Starting XI sees Albert Rusnák returning to the lineup, and Alex Roldan making a consecutive start at center back.

Coach Schmetzer has made two changes to the lineup from their previous 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake, with Nouhou and Rusnák replacing Jon Bell and Paul Rothrock. Notably, Jordan Morris notched his 38th assist in all competitions last Saturday against Real Salt Lake, solidifying his place in Sounders history. The last time the Rave Green and NYCFC faced off was in 2019, with New York securing a 3-0 home victory.

Excitingly, Seattle will soon kick off their Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs run following this match, with details about their Round One matchup to be decided after Saturday’s results league-wide.
