CNN’s All Access Streaming Service Does Not Include CNN

CNN has just unveiled its new All Access subscription streaming service, and there’s a lot to unpack. For $6.99 a month or $69.99 annually, you’ll get a curated selection of CNN’s live programming, along with access to their latest originals and more. But here’s the catch – there doesn’t seem to be a live CNN feed included in the mix.

According to VP of digital products, Alex MacCallum, CNN’s goal with All Access is to offer a comprehensive experience that aligns with how audiences consume news today. As part of the All Access package, subscribers will have access to 1,000 hours of programming from CNN’s Originals library, the latest CNN Original Series, and CNN Films just one day after they air on TV. Plus, there’s video-on-demand programming, special features, exclusive live events, and all CNN.com articles and subscriber-only content.

If you’re wondering about the existing $3.99 digital subscription, it’s now been rebranded as the Basic tier. This tier offers unlimited access to CNN.com articles and select subscriber features, but no video content.

While it might seem odd that the live CNN feed is missing from All Access, it’s likely a strategic move to maintain good relationships with cable TV providers. However, this decision might not sit well with some potential subscribers. Remember CNN+? It was priced at $5.99 per month, didn’t offer live CNN, and was pulled just 32 days after its launch. Ouch!

If you’re eager to try out CNN All Access, mark your calendars for October 28th. And here’s a sweet deal for early birds – sign up before January 5th, 2026, and you’ll only pay $41.99 for the first year. Existing pay TV subscribers will get to enjoy All Access for free, but they won’t have access to the digital content available to regular subscribers.
