Apple’s new streaming bundle teases potential perks for Apple One subscribers
Apple has exciting news for Apple One subscribers – they can now get a special discount on a Peacock subscription! This new Apple TV and Peacock bundle offer allows you to subscribe to both services at a lower price. While this bundle is available to everyone, Apple One subscribers on the Family or Premier plan get an extra perk – they can purchase a Peacock subscription separately with a 35% discount.
In the press release announcing this partnership, Apple highlighted this discount as the first benefit of its kind for Apple One subscribers. It’s interesting to see Apple venturing into these kinds of external partnerships, especially considering the competitive landscape of subscription services. Amazon Prime, for example, has long offered additional benefits like free Grubhub+ memberships and discounts at gas stations.
Given Apple’s recent push into partnerships, such as streaming Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV and offering MLS subscriptions, it’s not unreasonable to assume that more benefits may be on the way for Apple One subscribers. Additionally, Apple has a history of striking exclusive deals, like carrier partnerships for new iPhones.
What do you think of Apple’s move to offer discounts and benefits through partnerships? Do you think they will continue to expand this strategy in the future? If so, who would you like to see Apple partner with next?
