NBCUniversal and Apple Bundle Streaming Services
Apple and NBCUniversal have teamed up to bring fans a new way to enjoy their streaming services together. By bundling Peacock and Apple TV, the two companies are offering a combined package that includes Peacock Premium for $14.99 a month and Apple TV along with Peacock Premium Plus for $19.99 a month. This partnership is part of a larger trend in the streaming industry towards consolidation as companies seek to compete with giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Starting Monday, fans can access this bundle to enjoy a wide range of content from both platforms. Apple brings award-winning shows like “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” and “Shrinking,” while NBCUniversal offers an array of sports content including NBA basketball, soccer, the Olympics, and a library of TV shows and movies like “Poker Face,” “Real Housewives,” and “How to Train Your Dragon.”
In addition to their existing offerings, NBCUniversal is currently in talks to bring Major League Baseball to their platform next year, adding even more sports content to their lineup. Apple has also been streaming Friday night baseball games, expanding their sports coverage.
According to Oliver Schusser, Apple’s VP of Apple TV and other entertainment services, this bundle aims to provide viewers with a wide variety of programming in a simple and seamless experience. Matt Strauss, chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, echoed this sentiment, saying that the combination of Apple TV and Peacock offers the best of both worlds in terms of entertainment, sports, and live events.
This partnership comes on the heels of a recent price increase for NBCUniversal’s Peacock service, making this new bundle even more appealing to fans looking for quality content at an affordable price. With the combined strengths of Apple and NBCUniversal, this bundle promises to deliver a compelling entertainment experience for subscribers.
