Jason Clarke’s attraction to the thrilling adventures of “Last Frontier”
Jason Clarke, known for his roles in Brotherhood, Zero Dark Thirty, and Oppenheimer, recently opened up about his new Apple TV+ series, The Last Frontier, in an interview with UPI. The Australian actor shared his excitement for this Alaska-set show, highlighting the non-stop action in the very first episode.
The series follows Clarke as Frank, a U.S. Marshal whose peaceful life takes a turn when a plane carrying dangerous fugitives crashes into the mountains he oversees. Alongside Clarke, the show features Haley Bennett as Sidney, a CIA agent, and Simone Kessell as Sarah, Frank’s wife. Dominic Cooper, Alfre Woodard, and Dallas Goldtooth also star in the series.
Clarke expressed his admiration for the strong female characters portrayed by Bennett and Kessell in The Last Frontier. He emphasized the complexity and depth of their roles, especially Sidney’s mysterious and multifaceted character. Clarke also touched on the dynamic between his character, Frank, and Sidney, noting that while there is a level of mistrust, there is also a growing connection between them.
Reflecting on his long-standing relationship with Kessell, Clarke shared his excitement about working with her again on this project. He praised her portrayal of Sarah and highlighted her ability to capture the essence of a strong yet loving woman.
