Earthquakes MLS Standings: Climbing and Securing Playoff Spot on Final Day

The San Jose Earthquakes are on a quest to secure a spot in the MLS playoffs, and their path is clear as they head into the final week of the season. Currently sitting in 11th place in the Western Conference with 38 points, the Quakes need a win in their upcoming match against Austin FC to boost their chances.

In order to clinch a playoff spot, San Jose will need some assistance from other teams. Teams like Dallas FC, Real Salt Lake, and the Colorado Rapids currently occupy the spots ahead of the Earthquakes in the standings. If any of these teams lose and the Quakes secure a win, San Jose could move up the rankings and potentially land a spot in the wild-card match.

The Quakes face off against Austin FC, the No. 6 seed, in their final regular-season game. Meanwhile, Dallas will take on the West-leading Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Salt Lake will visit 13th-place St. Louis, and Colorado will host the No. 3 seed LAFC. All games will kick off at 6 p.m. Pacific on Saturday, giving the Quakes a shot at making it to the playoffs in Bruce Arena’s first season as head coach.

Stay tuned to see if the San Jose Earthquakes can climb the MLS standings and secure a spot in the postseason!
