Kingston Vernes Cast in ‘Buffy’ Reboot Pilot for Hulu

Meet Kingston Vernes, the newest cast member in the upcoming Hulu pilot of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. Vernes, known for his role in The Survivor, will be a guest star in the pilot with the potential to become a major recurring character if the show gets picked up.

The series will feature Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Nova, a high-school student with a quiet personality who takes on the role of the new slayer. Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the iconic Buffy Summers, will also executive produce the show.

Vernes will portray Carson, a Junior Olympian and popular student at New Sunnydale Academy, who catches Nova’s eye after a significant event in her life. Alongside Armstrong and Gellar, the cast includes Faly Rakotohavana, Ava Jean, Sarah Bock, Daniel Di Tomasso, and Jack Cutmore-Scott.

Directed by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao and written by Nora and Lilla Zuckerman, the pilot is referred to as the next chapter in the Buffyverse. Stay tuned for updates as the project progresses, with a potential writers room opening up soon for more scripts in the series if the pilot receives a green light.

In previous projects, Vernes was seen in HBO Films’ The Survivor and David Fincher’s Netflix film Mank. He is represented by IAG, LBI, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Kritzman. Keep an eye out for more exciting details about this highly anticipated Buffy reboot!
