Top 3 Storylines South Park Should Explore with New Paramount+ Deal
South Park fans, get ready because the show is reportedly set to launch a new season on July 23rd on Comedy Central and Paramount+. With a massive five-year, $1.5 billion deal in place, fans can expect 10 episodes per year that will likely tackle anything and everything topical.
South Park has always been known for its ability to cleverly mock the biggest names in pop culture, from presidential elections to recent events like the chaos in air traffic control, the war against Canada, and Diddy. But here are three storylines that I think South Park absolutely NEEDS to hit:
First up, the curious case of Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The sports world has been buzzing about their relationship, and South Park is sure to have a field day with it. From the awkward CBS interview to Hudson’s unexpected appearances at UNC football practices, there’s plenty of material for the show to work with.
Next, the WNBA drama involving rising star Caitlin Clark and players like Angel Reese. The league’s self-sabotaging tendencies and recent controversies surrounding player activism are ripe for South Park’s satirical treatment.
And finally, the bizarre but real Alligator Alcatraz, an illegal immigrant detention facility surrounded by alligators and snakes. This sounds like something straight out of a South Park episode, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the show takes on this absurd concept.
With South Park’s new Paramount+ deal bringing weekly episodes to the streaming service, fans can expect even more hilarious and relevant content from the show. What storyline would you want South Park to tackle next? Share your thoughts on Twitter @TheGunzShow.
