2025 NHL Draft Selection Order: How Teams are Picking

The National Hockey League just announced the order of selection for the 2025 Upper Deck NHL Draft happening at L.A. Live’s Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Get ready for two days of excitement, with Round 1 taking place on Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, ESPN+, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports. The following day, June 28, rounds two through seven will be broadcast at 12 p.m. ET on NHL Network, ESPN+, Sportsnet, and SN1.

One interesting note is that the NY Rangers will transfer their 1st-round pick either in the 2025 or 2026 NHL Draft to Vancouver, based on the terms of a trade made on Jan. 31, 2025. Vancouver, in turn, will transfer the pick to Pittsburgh as part of another trade on the same day.

Round 2 includes picks like San Jose, Chicago, and Nashville, leading to more exciting selections throughout the draft. And don’t forget about Round 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, where even more talented players will find their new NHL homes.
