Sterling K. Brown Shines in ‘Washington Black’ Trailer: A Hulu Adventure Epic

“Washington Black” is a new Hulu series featuring Sterling K. Brown that will be hitting screens on July 23rd. The show is based on a novel by Canadian author Esi Edugyan and follows the journey of an 11-year-old boy, George Washington Black, who flees from a dangerous situation at a sugar plantation in Barbados. This leads him on a whirlwind adventure around the world, where he gains new insights into his past and envisions incredible opportunities for his future in the 19th century.

The series, set to release in July, stars Eddie Karanja as young Washington and Ernest Kingsley Jr. as adult Washington, also known as “Wash.” Tom Ellis plays the role of Christopher “Titch” Wilde, an explorer and engineer who mentors and assists Washington in his escape.
