Rosamund Pike Reacts with “Rage” to Wheel of Time Cancellation on Prime Video

Rosamund Pike recently shared her thoughts on the cancellation of The Wheel of Time in a post on social media. Three weeks after the announcement, Pike posted a picture of herself as Moiraine on her Instagram Stories, originally shared by costume designer Sharon Gilham, with a message that read, “Maybe I felt the end was coming and wanted to channel in anguish and rage at the sky.”

Her message, though somewhat cryptic, echoes the sentiments of many involved in the show and fans who have expressed their disappointment at the news of cancellation. Showrunner Rafe Judkins also shared a heartfelt statement on his Instagram, expressing his gratitude for the talented and wonderful cast and crew that he had the pleasure of working with. He mentioned that the show was beloved by fans and critics alike, reaching top rankings in Nielsen for nearly 20 weeks.

Despite the cancellation, a petition called “Save The Wheel of Time” has gained almost 170,000 signatures and is still growing. Fans are advocating for the completion of the story, highlighting the many novels by Robert Jordan that have yet to be adapted.
