Yellowstone Spinoff Star Joins Landman Season 2
Exciting news for fans of ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff star Sam Elliott! He’s set to join the cast of another Taylor Sheridan project for season 2 of “Landman.” After his role as Shea Brennan in “1883,” Elliott will be a series regular in the upcoming season of “Landman.” While details about his character haven’t been revealed yet, there’s speculation that he could be playing M-Tex Oil’s new landman and fixer.
In the first season of “Landman,” Billy Bob Thornton’s character Tommy Norris played that role until he was promoted following the death of M-Tex CEO Monty Miller. Production for season 2 is already in full swing, with Elliott spotted on set. Over Memorial Day weekend, Ali Larter, who plays Tommy’s ex-wife Angela Norris, shared a heartwarming Instagram photo with Elliott and Michelle Randolph, who portrays their daughter Ainsley. It’s clear that the cast is having a blast on and off-screen!
Elliott’s extensive experience in westerns makes him a perfect fit for the West Texas-set series, which revolves around the oil industry. Joining Thornton, Larter, Randolph, Demi Moore, Jacob Lofland, Paulina Chávez, and Kayla Wallace, Elliott is sure to bring even more gravitas to an already talented ensemble.
As for the release date of season 2, it’s still up in the air. Even Billy Bob Thornton, who plays an integral role in the show, doesn’t know how the season will unfold. But one thing’s for sure, he’s thrilled to be a part of “Landman” and hopes to stick around for as long as the show will have him.
