Season 6 of The Great North under consideration at FOX

The Great North on FOX has captured hearts with its heartwarming family themes and LGBTQ representation. With five seasons under its belt, the animated comedy starring Nick Offerman as Beef Tobin has gained a loyal fan base. However, despite its popularity, the show has faced uncertainty about its future at FOX with a potential season 6.

Speculation arose about the show’s continuation when FOX recently brought back American Dad!, another long-running series. While beloved shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers have been renewed for multiple seasons, The Great North finds itself in a precarious position.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Eric Schrier from Disney TV Studios revealed that the fate of The Great North is still up in the air. As FOX considers its lineup for Animation Domination, the show remains under consideration. “I don’t think FOX has made a final determination on it,” Schrier mentioned. “It’d be great for it to continue, but I understand if they’re not able to.”

Despite the uncertainty, there is hope that The Great North could continue its Alaskan adventures. The show has performed well on streaming platforms like Hulu, leading to discussions about the potential for it to become a Hulu Original if FOX decides not to renew it.

With season 5 airing through the summer, fans may have to wait a bit longer to learn the show’s fate. While FOX’s focus remains on its core four animated series, The Great North has proven its worth with its unique storytelling and endearing characters. Hopefully, the Tobin family will be granted the privilege of continuing their journey on screen.
