Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman in New ‘Long Way Home’ Series

Ready your engines and dust off your helmets because Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are revving up for another epic adventure in the latest installment of their ‘Long Way’ series. Premiering on May 9, Long Way Home follows the dynamic duo as they hit the road on vintage motorcycles, embarking on a journey through more than 15 countries in Scandinavia, the Baltics, and continental Europe.

In this exciting 10-episode series, McGregor and Boorman set out from McGregor’s home in Scotland, bound for Boorman’s in England. But, true to the Long Way spirit, they opt for the scenic route, traveling through Scandinavia, all the way up to the Arctic Circle, down to the Baltics, and across continental Europe, before eventually making their way back to England after two months on the road.

This marks the fourth iteration of the Emmy-nominated series, which has previously taken us on adventures in Long Way Round, Long Way Down, and Long Way Up. Now, Long Way Home promises to deliver even more thrilling escapades as the pair explores some of the most picturesque landscapes and challenging roads in the world.

Exclusive to Apple TV+, Long Way Home joins the ranks of the previous seasons, giving viewers the opportunity to stream all the ‘Long Way’ adventures in one place. With McGregor riding a 1974 Moto Guzzi 850 El Dorado and Boorman on a 1972 BMW R75/5, the duo crisscrosses countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands, immersing themselves in local cultures and taking on unique activities along the way.

In the series trailer, McGregor expresses his excitement for the journey, stating, “For the last 20 years, my best friend Charley Boorman and I have traveled to some of the farthest corners of the world. Yet, we’ve never properly explored the countries on our own doorstep, so this time, Europe is our playground.”
