Series Trailer: Murderbot Apple TV+ Series – Dark Sci-fi Streaming Show

Apple TV+ has just dropped the trailer for a new comedic sci-fi thriller series called “Murderbot.” This show stars and is executive produced by Emmy winner Alexander Skarsgård. If that’s not exciting enough, the series is based on the best-selling, award-winning book series “The Murderbot Diaries” by Martha Wells, and is brought to life by Oscar nominees Chris and Paul Weitz.

The story centers around a self-hacking security construct played by Skarsgård, who is baffled by human emotions but inexplicably drawn to its clients in need. Despite wanting nothing more than to watch futuristic soap operas in peace, Murderbot must keep its free will hidden in order to complete a perilous mission and navigate its place in the vast universe.

The stellar cast includes Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones, and Tamara Podemski. The Weitz brothers have taken on the roles of writers, directors, and producers under their Depth of Field banner, with the show being produced for Paramount Television Studios. The show is also executive produced by Andrew Miano, David S. Goyer, and Keith Levine.

Excitingly, “Murderbot” will be released globally on Apple TV+ starting on May 16th with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday until July 11th.
