Watch the trailer for ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ on Paramount+ – Austin, TX

If you’re a fan of the Showtime series Dexter, you’re in luck—Paramount+ just dropped the final trailer for Dexter: Original Sin, the prequel to the original Dexter series that aired from 2006-2013. This new series follows a young Dexter, played by Patrick Gibson, as he learns the ropes of being an avenging serial killer with guidance from his father, Harry, voiced by Christian Slater. Michael C. Hall, who starred in the original series, lends his voice to young Dexter’s inner monologue.

In addition to Gibson, the series features a star-studded cast including Patrick Dempsey, Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, and Reno Wilson. And if that isn’t enough to get you excited, Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to make a special guest appearance!

The trailer gives us a sneak peek into Dexter’s journey as he learns the “code” that helps him target and eliminate “the bad guys who escaped justice.” Alongside this, Dexter navigates his dark impulses while starting a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department where his dad works.

But that’s not all—Paramount+ and Showtime are also working on Dexter: Resurrection, a sequel to Dexter: New Blood. Dexter: Original Sin will premiere on Paramount+ for Showtime subscribers on Dec. 13, with the network debut scheduled for Dec. 15 at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
