Watch the Oscars Live Stream for the First Time

Hollywood’s biggest night is approaching, and this year, watching the Oscars from home just got easier. Along with being televised on a major network, the 2025 Academy Awards will also be streamed live. This means you can follow along with the glitz, glam, and emotional acceptance speeches without the need for an antenna or access to local channels. Here’s your guide on how to stream the Oscars for the first time ever in 2025.

Recently, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the 2025 Oscars will have an additional viewing option. While the event will still be broadcast on ABC as usual, it will also be available for live streaming on Hulu. Keep in mind that a Hulu subscription is required to take advantage of this new feature, but it’s a convenient way to watch the star-studded affair.

This year’s Oscars will also mark a special debut, as Emmy Award-winning television host, writer, producer, and comedian Conan O’Brien is set to host the event for the first time. The announcement was made by ABC in November, with O’Brien jokingly stating, “America demanded it, and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’m hosting the Oscars.”

The 2025 Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Similar to the previous year, the show will kick off at 7 p.m. ET instead of the usual 8 p.m. ET start time. If you’re a fan of celebrity fashion, the official live red carpet show will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET.

For those outside the United States, fret not – the Oscars will be available in over 200 territories worldwide. Simply check your local international listings to find out how to tune in and be part of the Oscar excitement.
