“Apocalypse Drama Starring Blackpink’s K-pop Star Receives Major Update”

Exciting news for fans of K-pop’s Blackpink, as Jisoo is making her way from the stage to the screen in a brand-new zombie-themed K-drama called Newtopia. This thriller, written by Oscar-winning writer Han Jin-won, follows the story of a young couple, Lee Jae-yoon and Kang Young-joo, who are separated by the challenges of Jae-yoon’s military service but find themselves brought together by a sudden zombie outbreak in Seoul.

Set to premiere globally on Friday, February 7, Newtopia will be available for UK viewers on Prime Video and on Coupang Play for those in South Korea. You can catch new episodes every week until March 21, with Prime Video making it accessible in over 240 territories worldwide.

Joining Jisoo in the series is Park Jeong-min, who plays the role of Lee Jae-yoon, and other talented actors such as Im Sung-jae, Kim Jun-han, and Jung-Min Park. The script for Newtopia was penned by the brilliant Han Jin-won, co-writer of Parasite, along with Ji Ho-jin, known for their work on the action series A Shop For Killers.
